Prizeout Account FAQ
What is Virtual Gifting?
Virtual Gifting is a peer-to-peer gifting product that lets you send digital gift cards to anyone, whether they bank at your financial institution or not.
What is Prizeout?
Prizeout is a gift card marketplace where you can purchase and send digital gift cards from brands you love with bonus value, utilizing your checking account funds.
How does Virtual Gifting work?
Virtual Gifting allows you to send anyone a specific brand’s gift card or credits to allow them to select a brand of their choice. You can choose the amount you’d like to send and include a message to the recipient, and the gift cards can be delivered to your recipient via email and text.
What does it cost?
The only cost associated with Virtual Gifting is the cost of the gift card itself, which is an amount of your choosing. There are no additional fees to you or the recipient.
Can I send a gift card to myself?
Absolutely. You can input your own contact details when creating a new contact to send the gift card to yourself.
What's the difference between choosing the card myself or letting
the recipient choose?
You can choose a specific brand’s gift card, or you can send a preset amount of funds that allow the recipient to choose from a selection of brands themselves.
How can I resend a gift card?
At this time, there is no way to resend a Virtual Gifting gift card. If the recipient is having issues with deliverability, please have them reach out to Prizeout Support at support@prizeout.com for assistance.
Can I cancel a gift card once sent?
Once a gift card is sent, there is no way to cancel the transaction. For assistance, please contact support@prizeout.com for assistance.
Can I exchange the gift card?
Typically gift cards cannot be canceled or exchanged. However, we suggest you reach out to Prizeout support for guidance at support@prizeout.com, and we can assist with the specific card in question.
What if the recipient doesn’t receive the card?
If the recipient doesn’t receive the gift card text or email, you and/or the recipient should contact support@prizeout.com for assistance. We would also suggest having the recipient first check their spam/junk folder.
How do I add and/or edit a contact?
On the Virtual Gifting screen, you can click the (+) to add a contact. Here you can add a new contact by entering the recipient's name, email, and phone number, or you can choose to edit a current contact.
Can I choose which account I purchase the card from?
Yes. Within the Virtual Gifting process, you can toggle between accounts and select the account from where you would like to purchase the card.
What if I don’t see a brand that I want?
Brands are featured on Prizeout based on a variety of factors, including available inventory and current bonuses/discounts. If you don’t see a specific brand, we suggest sending credits and allowing the recipient to choose a brand themselves.
Do I get confirmation that my contact received their gift?
At this time, only the recipient receives an email with access to the gift card. There is a confirmation on the Virtual Gifting platform that shows the gift card as sent.
How will this purchase appear on my account?
After an order is made through Virtual Gifting, the purchase will show as a bank transfer as a line item in your account activity.
Can I send gift cards to multiple people at once?
Yes. When on the Virtual Gifting screen, you can click the (+) to add a contact. Use the checkbox on the right to choose all the recipients you wish to gift. Once chosen, all recipients will receive the same type of gift that is chosen in the next step.
Why is an email address required?
An email address is required for recipients because all digital gift cards are delivered via email.
I sent the email to the wrong email address, what should I do?
For assistance, please contact support@prizeout.com.
Does the recipient receive a notification through email or text message?
Recipients will always receive a notification via email. If you, as the sender, include their phone number as well, then they will receive both a text message and an email notification.
